Just took Marnie aboard as a friend on GRASSspace, and decided to follow up the links, landed back here with your wonderful band. Keep up the great work, puts Canada on the bluegrass map. I have a book/CD combo about to be released, with a collection of stories and songs re: growing up in rural Ontario, Rural Roots #1, the songs being my own performed by our Thunder Bay bluegrass band, Maple Ridge. Come on over to GRASSspace and join the many Canadian performers there (or maybe you already are) let's keep in touch. See you at a festival soon! Gloria Jean

I just found a link to your site through the Northern Bluegrass Committee website. You made such an impression on me (especially Nora with her angelic voice) when I saw you at the River Valley Bluegrass Festival a few years ago and I even got to jam with you one afternoon for an hour or so. That was great fun for me!!!! I was so very disappointed that you didn't have a CD at the time but now I see you have two CDs !!! I'm thrilled!!! I am definitely going to buy them asap. Keep up the great work guys and congrats on your awards and great reviews. I hope to see you again some time. I'll be following your schedule for sure.

Hey! rumour has it Foxtail has disbanded?! Tell me it isn't so . . . after that wonderful jam session on Friday night in Huntsville 2006 we purchased both your CDs and definitely put in our vote for MORE!

Response:
Fear not! The rumours are false. However, Rick, our fine bass player/tenor singer has accepted a job opportunity out of the country. He has been replaced with Marnie Niemi, of Toronto, a young lady who happens to be an outstanding musician, both on stand-up bass and vocal work. Keep tuned for more news as it develops!

I was at the Shady Grove festival on Saturday and oh, my word - it was awesome!
Like the idiot that I am, I left without purchasing a CD - so, now what do I do! Where do I get them?

I was logged on to your website and found your e-mail address, so just wanted to drop a note to say how much I enjoyed meeting you and your wife Audrey (and Nora, Rick and Larry) as well how much my friend Colleen and I loved taking part in the vocal workshop. (I'm the tall, silver-haired one) You are such a fun group and made us feel so comfortable. We are fairly new to the Bluegrass Festival scene, this being my husband's and my 2nd time to Shady Grove but have always loved more traditional country, blues and western swing. We have had such a great time the last 2 years and hope that we may see your group again to Shady Grove. If you are ever in the Calgary area and would like to stop by in Okotoks, our door is always open.

P.S. Will pass your website address along to other friends

Many thanks for sending us Foxtail's really lovely "Crying Again" CD. The single mic source sure makes it all sound authentic -- but quite clearly you don't need technical assistance with such polished, experienced talent you all have in your singing and musicianship. Nora's songs are truly sublime -- she achieves timelessness. Amazing. And I love her voice! And the vocal harmony sound -- such a blend!

We'll certainly be scheduling tracks for months [nay years!] to come.

A great performance Saturday night in Stratford. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. The CD has been moved to the top of my playlist and will stay there for a long time. Larry; You've inspired me to get my banjo out, knock the dust off and see if I can still play. You are all simply outstanding musicians. Bands of your caliber are what's contributing to the Bluegrass Revival taking place all across the country. Don't ever quit stop.

Happy New Year! This is to thank you for the promo "Cryin' Again" CD we requested. Some good material here. Nora is quite a song writer. It is refreshing to hear original tunes. Good luck in the future.

... By the way, I listened to your CD. Fantastic! You guys are so professional. I bet over 90% of popacts today could not record live from the floor like that. Everyone on the disk sounds great. Vocals, banjo, dobro, bass, guitar everything is first class. I'm really happy to have a copy. I think I'll go and listen to it again right now.

Best regards,
George
